Everything you need to know about using esimtoyou.
1. General Questions
- What is an eSIM? An eSIM is a digital SIM card. There’s no physical chip to insert; you simply scan a QR code to add a data plan to your phone.
- Is my phone compatible? Most newer iPhones (XS and later), Samsung Galaxy (S20 and later), and Google Pixel (3 and later) support eSIM. Your phone must also be carrier-unlocked. Check the full list of supported models on our eSIM Compatible Devices page.
- Can I keep my WhatsApp/iMessage number? Yes! Your physical SIM and phone number stay active. You only use our eSIM for mobile data while traveling.
2. Installation & Activation
- How do I receive my eSIM? Immediately after purchase, we send a QR code to your email.
- When should I install my eSIM? We recommend installing it a few hours before you travel or upon arrival at your destination using airport Wi-Fi.
- How do I activate the data? Once you land, go to your phone’s Settings > Cellular/Mobile Data and turn on the esimtoyou line. Ensure Data Roaming is switched ON for our eSIM.
3. Usage & Data
- Can I share my data (Hotspot)? Yes, most of our plans support personal hotspots so you can share data with other devices.
- How do I check my remaining data? You can check data usage in your phone’s cellular settings or contact our support team with your order details.
- What happens when my data runs out? Your connection will stop. You can visit our website to purchase a new plan for the same destination.
4. Troubleshooting & Refunds
- The QR code won’t scan. What do I do? Ensure you have a stable Wi-Fi connection. If it still fails, contact us at support@esimtoyou.com and we will provide the manual activation codes.
- I accidentally deleted my eSIM. Can I get it back? Most eSIMs can only be scanned once. If deleted, you may need to purchase a new one. Please contact support to see if your specific plan allows a re-issue.
- Can I get a refund if I change my mind? Refunds are available for unactivated eSIMs within 14 days. Once scanned or used, we cannot offer a refund.
